It’s not going anywhere though and it’ll be available for whenever you/anyone else can get a PS5. They’re not going to do more work to downscale it or anything it’s just flat out not coming to it. Burning Shores will not be coming to PS4 at any time.
As things currently stand, Burning Shores will not only be able to live up to the expectations set by Frozen Wilds but should be able to surpass them and create an even more enjoyable experience. They would have said that in the blog post they did for the DLC. The trailers have painted a good picture of an exciting new story, an interesting location to explore, and new machines that can be used to help maneuver the area. updated Burning Shores is the DLC expansion to Horizon Forbidden West that takes Aloy south to the treacherous, volcano-ridden archipelago that's emerged from the ruins of. While Frozen Wilds explored the Banuk tribe and introduced a new area and some new machines, Burning Shores is expected to do much more. There are high expectations for Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores to be an outstanding expansion. While Guerrilla has stated that mounting the machine will require quite a battle despite access to legendary weapons, it is also said to be a mount that can allow players to easily maneuver around the new environment and potentially reach areas that would otherwise be off-limits. This medium-sized machine is just as comfortable in the air as in the ocean. One of the new machines that Guerrilla has introduced is a Waterwing.
